Ali started making jewelry ten years ago when she struggled to find the simple, quirky, reasonably priced jewelry she wanted. Soon, her focus turned to using reclaimed materials, both because it was eco-friendly and for its creative challenge. While she often lets the materials guide the design of her pieces, there is an overarching sense of simplicity in her work. While ‘upcycled’ tends to make people think of bottle cap necklaces, you would not know her elegant yet minimalist jewelry was reclaimed unless you’re familiar with her business model! Every piece–most are one of a kind–has a story to tell, and are equally happy with a cocktail dress or a t-shirt.
Based in the Pacific Northwest, she also loves to curate handmade events to help fellow artists and bolster the local handmade scene. You can find her non-traditional shop on her Instagram page, or you can shop in person at Seattle-area events and boutiques. Ali adores custom work, large or small, so don’t hesitate to ask for something one of a kind, perfect for you!
