So, it’s officially November, and we haven’t caught up with our member, fair trade textile brand Manos Zapotecas, since last spring when we shared a few of their bags that we’d shot around town here in Los Angeles. And oh how much we’ve missed! They’ve got an incredible range of colors and styles in their Fall/Winter 2017 line and MZ Casa is stocked with more ethically made, boho home decor than ever. But what really caught our eye is the Indigo Collection, which is a whole new scene for them.
With a more modern, minimal vibe and their foray into natural dyes, we really wanted to get a closer peek at the behind-the-scenes for this collection. Not to mention, their lookbooks are always so stunning, and this latest one is no exception!
The idea for this collection actually came about by their design intern Miriam Parkman, who pitched the idea to the team and their design director Samantha Wattson. You can catch up with Miriam and learn all about her concept on the MZ blog.
The Ice + Snow Indigo Pillow already has us thinking of modern holiday decor.
Not surprisingly, a few of our fave muses–shibori, natural dyeing, and indigo’s recent success in home decor all served as inspiration for the new collection. We especially love how Miriam and the team chose to pair these striking blue hues with bright whites and neutrals, though.
Can’t tell if we love the Indigo Collection more on those gorgeous bags or in MZ Casa. Be sure to shop the whole collection and see who was behind each handcrafted piece on their site.
